About the Role

A security door supervisor is a professional who is responsible for maintaining safety and security at the entrance of a building or event. They are often employed by private security firms, or directly by the venue or organization. The main responsibilities of a security door supervisor include:

  • Checking identification and tickets of patrons to ensure that they are authorized to enter the building or event
  • Searching bags or other personal belongings for prohibited items
  • Patrolling the area to ensure that all rules and regulations are being followed
  • Responding to and resolving conflicts or other security incidents in a calm and professional manner
  • Monitoring and controlling the flow of patrons entering and exiting the building or event
  • Working closely with other security staff and law enforcement to ensure the safety of patrons and staff
  • Keeping accurate records of incidents and security breaches
  • Following all safety and security protocols and procedures
  • Communicating effectively with management and other staff.
